As a 48-year-old premenopausal female, I was looking for a personal trainer who was able to accommodate my fitness goals of increasing my bone density as my physician had reported I was at high risk for osteoporosis. Over the past 2 years, in addition to improving my cardiovascular fitness, Mr. Turner has guided me through weight bearing exercises and happily at my most recent physical, a Dexascan showed a significant improvement in my bone density. I am 63 years old and I have been training with Sid since April of 2012, which is over 4 1/2 years. The first time I worked with Sid I couldn’t pull myself up to do even one push-up. Now, I can do 100 push-ups, 25 at a time. Sid knows exactly how much to push me, yet at the same time, he is very careful not do overdo it. He is an expert in his field and is very patient. I am a 74 year old male in excellent health largely due to consistent directed training over the last 8 years. Although I had spent most of my life as a runner and otherwise physically active, with advancing age I recognized the need to be professionally guided for maximum efficiency and to reduce the risk of physical damage. Sid Turner is the last of several professional trainers I have worked with and without a doubt is the most professional and also the most sensitive to accommodations required for older adults or those with other limitations.
